LOOP is a benchmark new upcycling program developed exclusively by IN-Balance Australia. All of IN-Balance's workforce are made up of Aboriginal and migrant ladies through a partnership with Communicare, a leading NFP organisation delivering vital workforce development programs.
LOOP symbolises the cyclic nature of the outcomes in the program, bringing all elements "full circle" - people, planet and partnerships. It has been created to reduce our environmental impact and empower Aboriginal Australian's with meaningful and sustainable employment.
Through LOOP, Communicare process the uniforms with non secure items of clothing gifted directly to various organisations, whilst the secure uniforms are recycled to create a range of items that are then gifted to aligned NFP's that are supporting those most at need in our communities. These items include blankets and pillows for homeless shelters and "Branson the Bear" for sick and disadvantaged children.
Virgin Australia works with IN-Balance on increasing Aboriginal products into the Virgin supply chain, creating employment by transitioning the Communicare program participants into sustainable jobs. These products all feature our exclusive "Art Series", allowing students within the AIME organisation to showcase their artistic talents. LOOP provides a royalty from each sale back to AIME to support their amazing work.
